Dust Removal Measures for NC Plasma Cutting Machine

The water storage tank is required for cutting on the water surface. The top of the water storage tank is the working platform for placing workpieces, which is composed of several orderly pointed steel members. The plasma cutting machine then supports the workpieces to be cut on the horizontal plane by these pointed steel members. When the cutting torch is operating, the vicinity of the plasma arc is covered by a layer of water curtain. In order to maintain the continuous water curtain, a circulating water pump is required to draw water from the water storage tank and then inject it into the cutting gun. When water is ejected from the cutting gun, a water curtain is formed around the plasma arc. This water curtain greatly controls the environmental damage caused by pollutants such as noise, smoke, arc light and metal vapor during the cutting process. The water flow required by this method is 55~75L/min.
For underwater cutting, the workpiece is placed about 75mm below the water surface. The worktable for placing workpieces is composed of pointed steel members. The purpose of selecting the tapered steel members is to make the cutting table have enough capacity to contain chips and slag.
When the cutting gun is launched into the water, first drain the water near the nozzle end face of the cutting gun with a steady compressed air flow, and then ignite the plasma arc for cutting. When cutting under water, keep the depth of workpiece under water. A set of water level control system shall be prepared, and a water pump and water storage tank shall be added to maintain the water level by means of irrigation and drainage. Generally, the air extraction system shall be equipped around the manual plasma cutting machine or automatic cutting workbench to extract the waste gas out of the workshop. However, the exhaust gas from the CNC plasma cutting machine still pollutes the environment. If the pollution exceeds the national standards, the smoke and dust transition equipment should be added.
Exhaust air treatment Exhaust air treatment is generally only for partial operations on the cut surface. In detail, part of the air flow is managed, so that part of the operation site is not polluted by harmful substances, and the outstanding air environment is adhered to. Generally, the exhaust fan unit is composed of four parts: gas collecting hood, air duct, purification system and fan. According to different gas gathering methods, partial exhaust can be divided into fixed partial exhaust system and mobile partial exhaust system.
The fixed partial exhaust system is mainly used in the large CNC cutting production workshop with fixed operation address and workers' operation method. The orientation of the gas collecting hood can be fixed once according to the actual situation. The operation of the mobile partial exhaust system is relatively sensitive. Different operation positions can be selected according to different working conditions to ensure the handling power and the convenience of operators. The purification system of NC cutting soot and harmful gas generally adopts bag type or electrostatic precipitation combined with adsorbent purification method, with high processing power and stable operation conditions.
