The design of the flame cutting torch provides sufficient oxygen for the combustion of iron oxide, ensuring a good cutting effect. Flame cutting equipment is low cost and an economical and effective means of cutting thick sheet metal, but has its drawbacks when cutting thin sheet metal. Compared with plasma, flame cutting has a much larger heat-affected zone and much greater thermal deformation. In order to cut accurately and effectively, the operator needs to have superb skills to avoid thermal deformation of the metal plate in time during the cutting process.
As the name suggests, flame cutting machine is a kind of cutting equipment that uses gas with oxygen or gasoline with oxygen to cut metal materials. Its main features are strong cutting capacity (8-100mm) perforation cutting and (100-250mm) trimming. It can be cut by flame cutting. According to the metal material and the thickness of the cutting metal, from the perspective of technology, it is generally recommended to use flame cutting of carbon steel plates above 5mm, because the thermal deformation of this steel plate is very small. Stainless steel and non-ferrous metals cannot be cut by flame, because the heated surface of stainless steel will produce a high-density oxide layer, which prevents the heat from being transmitted downwards, thereby affecting the plate CNC flame cutting machine.
Cutting quality control: It is difficult to guarantee the size of the flame during the cutting process. The main factors are: the size of the cutting nozzle, the wind line of the cutting nozzle, the cutting air pressure, thermal deformation and sheet defects. The above capacitance will affect the cut size and surface quality. But as long as the operator with cutting experience can control it.
(1) If the slit compensation is too small, the cutting size will become smaller, and the slit is determined by the size of the cutting nozzle, which varies with the thickness of the cutting plate. Therefore, be careful to replace the sheet when cutting.
(2) Cut off the nozzle air line and pressure. The air line of the cutting nozzle is not as long as the thickness of the sheet, and the sheet is not cut well. Therefore, it is necessary to observe that the wind line grows 30-80mm out of the plate, and the air pressure increases according to the thickness of the plate.
(3) During the cutting process, as the temperature rises, it is normal for the plate to deform or buckle, but it will cause dimensional changes, and even the appearance may not match the actual situation. At this time, certain techniques can be adopted. When cutting large parts, you can leave the cutting part 1-3mm uncut, and then cut forward, leaving it uncut, which can reduce deformation. Distortion can be further reduced by matching cut order and trends.
