1. Appearance inspection
Check the power cord:
Make sure that the power cord has no wear, cracks or exposed wires.
Check whether the insulation layer of the power cord is intact. If damaged, replace it in time.
Check the plug and socket:
Make sure that the plug and socket are tightly connected, without looseness or burning.
Check whether the wire of the plug is tightly connected to the pin on the socket, and there is no poor contact.
Check the ground wire:
Make sure that the ground wire is firmly connected, without breakage or poor contact.
Check whether the grounding device is reliable and whether the grounding resistance meets the standard.
2. Electrical connection inspection
Check the power terminal:
Make sure that all terminal blocks are firmly connected and not loose.
Check whether the terminal blocks are burned or oxidized, and clean or replace them if necessary.
Check the control circuit:
Check whether the relays, contactors and other components of the control circuit are working properly.
Check whether the control circuit is open or short-circuited, and use a multimeter for detection if necessary.
3. Insulation check
Use insulation tester:
Use insulation tester to check the insulation resistance of the power supply line to ensure that it meets safety standards.
If the insulation resistance value does not meet the standard, stop using the equipment immediately and seek professional repair.
4. Voltage and current check
Measure input voltage:
Use a multimeter to measure the input voltage of the power supply to ensure that it is within the specified range of the equipment.
If the input voltage is too low or too high, it may affect the normal operation of the equipment.
Measure output current:
Check whether the welding current meets the set value and ensure that the current output is stable.
5. Grounding check
Check the grounding device:
Ensure that the grounding device of the equipment is firmly connected and the grounding resistance meets the standard.
Check the integrity and reliability of the grounding device regularly.
6. Precautions for safe operation
Power-off operation:
When checking and repairing the power supply line, the power must be cut off first, and a warning sign of "No closing, someone is working" must be hung.
Personal protection:
Operators should wear insulating gloves and insulating shoes to ensure personal safety.
