How to deal with the abnormal bumps when the CNC cutting machine is used?

1. Guide gap adjustment

"Guide gap" refers to the gap between the two guide rollers and the two guide sides of the front guide. There is a guiding gap between the horizontal carriage (or torch carriage) and the horizontal front rail (or cross beam), and the guiding gap between the longitudinal carriage and the longitudinal front rail. Excessive guide clearance will affect the verticality and movement accuracy. Gently turn the rail rollers on both sides of the front rail by hand, and you can feel the size of the rail gap.

By rotating the eccentric shaft, the guide gap can be adjusted. When adjusting, gently rotate the eccentric shaft to avoid pressing the guide rollers on the side of the track. When you feel the guide rollers press on the side of the track, reverse the angle to form a small gap and lock the eccentric shaft. Since the longitudinal carriage has two pairs of idlers relative to the longitudinal front rail, there is also a case of adjusting the eccentric shaft. The guiding structure of the horizontal front rail using the horizontal sliding frame is similar to the guiding structure of the vertical front rail using the vertical sliding frame, and the adjustment method is also the same.

2. Adjust the drive gap

The stepping motor and servo motor of the CNC cutting machine are all realized by gear and rack and pinion transmission, and the rack is fixed on the longitudinal front rail and the horizontal front rail respectively.

The small gear in the gearbox is fixed on the output shaft of the stepper motor, and the big gear is positioned on the gearbox through the shaft. Therefore, the adjustment of the transmission gap of the gears in the transmission box can loosen the fixing of the stepping motor to the transmission box, as long as the stepping motor and the small gear are close together in the direction of the large gear and then tightened. The purpose is to eliminate the gap during adjustment, but the gears and gears should not be too tight.
