Reasons for decline in accuracy
1. Wear
Long-term use: As the number of uses increases, the surface of the platform frequently contacts and rubs with the welding workpiece, fixtures, etc., which will gradually cause wear, resulting in reduced surface flatness and affecting positioning accuracy.
Improper operation: Strong knocking, dragging heavy objects, and other operations on the platform will accelerate the wear of the platform surface, causing pits or scratches on the platform, and destroying the accuracy of the platform.
2. Deformation
Overload: If a heavy object exceeding its carrying capacity is placed on the platform, or the stress generated during welding exceeds the platform's tolerance range, the platform may be deformed, thereby affecting accuracy.
Irregular installation: Uneven foundation and unstable support during installation, or the platform is hit or vibrated by external forces during use, may cause the platform to move or deform, resulting in reduced accuracy.
3. Environmental factors
Temperature change: If the working environment temperature changes too much, the platform will change in size due to thermal expansion and contraction. If welding operations are performed at different temperatures, the accuracy of the platform will be affected.
Humidity influence: A humid environment can easily cause the platform to rust, and rust spots will destroy the flatness and finish of the platform surface, resulting in a decrease in accuracy. In addition, humidity changes may also cause slight deformation of the platform material.
Solution
1. Repair wear
Minor wear: For minor scratches and wear on the platform surface, grinding can be used to repair it. Use grinding tools and abrasives to grind the platform surface according to a certain process to restore its flatness and finish.
Severe wear: If the wear is more serious, with deeper pits or large-area wear, it may be necessary to perform surface treatments such as electroplating and spraying, or replace the worn parts of the platform to restore the accuracy of the platform.
2. Correct deformation
Adjust the installation: First check the installation of the platform to ensure that the foundation is flat and the support is firm. If the platform is deformed due to installation problems, it can be corrected by adjusting the support bolts and re-leveling.
Use professional equipment: For larger deformations, professional correction equipment such as presses and jacks can be used to correct the platform. During the correction process, it is necessary to use measuring tools to monitor the deformation of the platform in real time to ensure the correction effect.
3. Control environmental factors
Temperature control: Try to control the working environment temperature within a relatively stable range to avoid drastic temperature changes. If the ambient temperature cannot be controlled, the platform can be preheated or precooled before use to adapt it to the working temperature.
Humidity control: Keep the working environment dry and use dehumidification equipment to control the humidity. For rusted platforms, rust removal should be carried out in time and anti-rust measures should be taken, such as applying anti-rust oil and installing moisture-proof covers.
4. Regular calibration: Develop a regular calibration plan and use high-precision measuring instruments, such as three-coordinate measuring machines, to calibrate the 3D welding platform. According to the calibration results, adjust and repair the platform to ensure that its accuracy always meets the work requirements.
