What should be considered when choosing suitable model of ProTop Welding Table?
Workpiece features:
Select appropriate platform model based on size, shape, and weight of the workpiece. For example, sheet metal and small steel structural parts mostly use D16 series platforms, while large steel structure and heavy machinery industry mostly use D28 series platforms.
If workpiece size changes greatly, recommend D22 series platform to accommodate different sizes of workpiece.
Platform structure:
According to its structural type,ProTop Welding Table is divided into three series: hole combined fixture, groove combined fixture and composite die. The slot combination fixture is divided into three types: 16mm, 12mm and 8mm, corresponding to large, medium and small combination fixture respectively.
Depending on your specific requirements, choose appropriate structure type.
Required precision:
According to precision requirements of the welding process, select the platform with corresponding accuracy.
The accuracy level of the platform is usually 0,1,2, and 3, among which 0 and 1 are high precision level.

General Fabrication Shops – Weld gates, railings, frames, brackets, and structural components. The ProTop handles a wide variety of work. D16 for precision parts, D28 for heavy structural. The precision surface means less rework and faster fit-up.
Automotive & Motorsports – Build roll cages, exhaust systems, suspension arms, and chassis brackets. The 3D side holes hold vertical assemblies. V-blocks and angle blocks handle tubes and compound angles. The 50mm grid (D16) provides fine positioning for small brackets.
Maintenance & Repair Departments – Fixture broken equipment for straightening and welding. The table is stable enough for hammering, accurate enough for precision repairs. Quick setup means less downtime. Mobile caster options let you roll the table to the job.
Robotic Welding Cells – ProTop's ≤0.10mm/m² flatness and ±0.05mm hole accuracy provide repeatable fixturing for automation. Quick locking pins enable fast changeovers. The steel construction stands up to continuous production use.

A:ProTop means precision ground surface, heavy-duty steel construction, and professional-grade accuracy at a competitive price.
Q:2.D16 or D28 – which should I choose?
A: D16 (16mm holes, 50mm grid) for general fabrication and precision work. D28 (28mm holes, 100mm grid) for heavy-duty structural work.
Q:3.Does the table include clamps and accessories?
A: The table includes only the precision ground surface. We offer starter kits (clamps, pins, stop blocks, angle blocks) as add-ons.
Q:4.Is nitriding worth the extra cost?
A: Yes for most shops. Nitriding prevents spatter sticking, resists rust, and extends table life to 5–8 years. Cleaning is much faster.
Q:5.Can I use accessories from other brands?
A: Yes. ProTop uses standard D16 or D28 systems. Any compatible accessories from any brand will fit.
Q:6.What is the lead time?
A:15–25 business days for standard sizes. Nitriding adds about 5 days. Custom sizes available.
