1. Daily Use & Bevel Prep Setup
To get the most out of your D28 cast iron welding table, always ensure your workpiece-especially a bevel piece requiring groove welding-is securely clamped using standard D28 accessories (clamps, stop blocks, or sliding squares). The machined 45° beveled edge is specifically designed to accommodate overhanging workpieces, providing clear torch access for root pass and fill passes on V-grooves or Y-grooves. For heavy or continuous bevel welding, use heat-resistant backing bars to protect the table surface from excessive heat concentration.
2. Cleaning & Spatter Management
After each welding session, remove slag and spatter using a wire brush or a scraper. Cast iron naturally resists spatter adhesion better than mild steel, but for best results, apply a light mist of water-based anti-spatter spray onto the D28 holes and surface before starting heavy welding.
