I. Time Breakdown by Calibration Item
1. Hole Spacing Accuracy Calibration: 1-3 hours
Use an articulated coordinate measuring machine or laser interferometer to perform a full-field scan of the platform's hole system, covering an area of 1m × 2m or larger.
Includes the entire process of data acquisition, comparison with the CAD model, and deviation annotation.
If using standard gauge blocks and dial indicators for manual measurement, the efficiency is low, and the time may be extended to more than 4 hours.
2. Positioning Accuracy Calibration: 2-4 hours
Inspect the perpendicularity and flatness of the module accessories (square, square box), and compare the workpiece clamping with a 3D vision camera.
Multiple adjustments to the fixture position are required, and deviations must be recorded, especially for high precision requirements (±0.02mm), which require repeated verification.
3. Positioning Accuracy Calibration: 2-3 hours
Perform more than 5 disassembly and assembly tests on the same workpiece, measuring key dimensions and calculating the standard deviation each time.
If used with a robot system, a laser tracker is also required to dynamically track the TCP (tool center point), slightly increasing the time required.
4. Integrated Calibration (including robot): 6-8 hours or longer
Applicable to intelligent welding workstations, requiring dynamic compensation of servo parameters for platform and robot linkage.
This includes laser tracker placement, data acquisition, control parameter optimization, and closed-loop verification. The process is complex but significantly improves stability.
II. Key Factors Affecting Time
1. Platform Size: Larger areas require more scanning points, multiplying the time required.
2. Measuring Tools: Automated equipment (such as coordinate measuring machines, laser trackers) is 30%-50% faster than manual measurement.
3. Accuracy Level: Requires ±0.01mm level calibration, requiring multiple iterations, significantly increasing time.
4. Environmental Conditions: Temperature fluctuations, vibrations, and other interferences require waiting for stabilization before measurement, potentially extending the time by 1-2 hours.
5. Personnel Skill Level: Experienced engineers can reduce operation time by 20%-30%.
