1. Cleaning and Drying
Comprehensive Cleaning: Before storage, thoroughly clean the welding roller from any impurities such as welding slag, oil, and dust to ensure a clean surface.
Keep the Equipment Dry: After cleaning, ensure the equipment is completely dry to prevent residual moisture that could cause rust.
2. Lubrication and Protection
Replacing Grease: Before reactivating a welding roller after long-term storage, the grease must be replaced to prevent damage.
Applying Rust Inhibitor: Apply rust inhibitor or oil to the equipment surface, especially metal parts, to prevent rust.
Lubricating Key Components: Lubricate all transmission components (such as bearings, gears, and reducers) to ensure they are in good condition.
3. Storage Environment
Choose a Suitable Environment: Store the welding roller in a dry, well-ventilated area free from corrosive gases and direct sunlight.
Using a Protective Cover: Cover the entire unit with a dust cover to protect it from dust and moisture. 4. Regular Inspection
Regular Maintenance: Even if the equipment has been idle for an extended period, regular inspection and maintenance should be performed, including cleaning, lubrication, and component integrity checks.
Electrical System Inspection: Regularly inspect the electrical system for loose, damaged, or deteriorating wiring to ensure proper operation.
5. Component Protection
Protect the rollers: Ensure there are no welds or sharp points on the roller surface to prevent damage.
Fastener Inspection: Check all fasteners for looseness. If any, retighten them.
