Why does the arc welding machine need a water cooling device?
1.The argon arc welding gun uses water cooling because during the welding process, the tungsten rod will generate a very high temperature, which is easy to burn the handle chuck. Water cooling can quickly reduce the temperature and protect the welding gun.
2.When the argon arc welding gun is working, it relies on the tungsten rod as a conductor to directly melt the metal. Since the tungsten rod is fixed, if the welding time is too long, the tungsten rod will generate a very high temperature, which is easy to burn the handle chuck.
3.Water cooling can quickly cool the temperature transferred from the tungsten rod to the handle, effectively extending the service life of the welding handle and enhancing the operator's feel.
4.Other welding methods such as electric welding and CO2 welding all use the material feeding method, and the temperature will not be transferred to the chuck, so natural cooling is sufficient.
