How to perform 3D welding table calibration yourself?

I. Preparation before calibration

Tools needed: Level (accuracy 0.02mm/m), feeler gauge (0.01-1mm), marker, thin barley paper, cotton cloth.

Equipment inspection: Confirm that the welding head lifting mechanism is not stuck and the worktable is clean and free of foreign objects.

II. Mechanical reference calibration

Perpendicularity calibration: Place the level horizontally/vertically on the lower end face of the welding head, and adjust it with the leveling screw until the bubble is centered (perpendicularity error ≤0.05mm/100mm).

Concentricity calibration: Place barley paper in the center of the fixture, lightly touch it with the welding head and observe the indentation; the offset should be ≤0.1mm.

III. Parameter settings and optimization

Amplitude: 35μm is recommended for thin-walled parts (such as mobile phone cases), and 60μm or more is required for thick-walled parts (such as ABS).

Welding Time: 0.2-1.5 seconds for ordinary plastic parts, determined by weld depth.

IV. Process Verification

Destructive Testing: Weld strength should reach at least 80% of the base material; fracture at the base material is acceptable.

Non-destructive Testing: Infrared thermal imaging monitors the temperature field; ideal temperature for ABS material is 190-220℃.
