If the installation is not level, causing the table to tilt and resulting in relative positioning deviation of the holes, the repair is very simple:
Place a frame level at the center and four sides of the table, marking the tilt direction and deviation value.
Fine-adjust the height using the adjusting bolts on the support legs, gradually adjusting until the entire table is level.
After leveling, re-check the hole center distance; the deviation will be restored to the acceptable range, with almost zero cost.
2. Inaccurate Precision Due to Individual Hole Wear/Deformation: Local Hole Enlargement Repair.
If only a single or a few holes are worn beyond tolerance due to long-term use, but the overall table accuracy is acceptable, local repair is used:
Enlarge the worn holes to a size one size larger than the original diameter (e.g., enlarge from Φ28 to Φ28.5mm).
Custom-make larger locating pins to match the new hole diameter, ensuring the pin-hole fit clearance meets the D10/h7 tolerance requirement.
Re-check the fit accuracy; if there is no wobbling and the clearance meets the standard, the repair is complete.
3. Slight deformation of the tabletop resulting in a hole system deviation of <0.15mm: Return to factory for reprocessing and repair.
If the slight deformation of the tabletop is caused by long-term load-bearing or improper placement, resulting in a small deviation in the overall hole system, the repair solution is as follows:
Return the entire tabletop to the original manufacturer and re-fix it to the CNC machining center.
Re-correct the position and diameter of each hole according to the original design hole coordinates. After correction, perform overall stress relief and aging treatment to prevent further deformation.
Before leaving the factory, the tabletop undergoes coordinate measuring machine (CMM) testing. Once all accuracy indicators meet the qualified standards, it can be delivered. After repair, the corresponding sized locating pins need to be replaced.
4. Severe deformation (hole system deviation >0.3mm) / Inferior materials causing unqualified accuracy: Replace core components.
In this case, the repair cost is close to that of a new product, and the accuracy stability after repair is poor. The optimal repair solution is to directly replace it with a brand new tabletop that has passed factory testing, which offers higher cost-effectiveness and long-term reliability.
5. Automated Welding Station with 3D Vision: Software Compensation and Repair of Small Hole Deviations
For intelligent automated 3D welding stations, small-range hole deviations can be corrected through system calibration without physical repair:
The actual positional deviation of all holes is measured using a coordinate measuring machine (CMM), generating a deviation compensation table.
The deviation is imported into the welding control system, the workpiece coordinate system is recalibrated, and the system automatically adjusts the welding path to compensate for the deviation. After multiple tests verifying the positioning accuracy, the repair is complete.
