Introduction
This 47" x 94" Cast Iron Welding Table is a heavy-duty, precision-ground modular fixturing platform designed for industrial welding, assembly, and inspection applications. Cast iron is the traditional choice for precision tooling because of its exceptional vibration damping, thermal stability, and wear resistance. Unlike steel tables that can ring and vibrate under welding impact, cast iron absorbs shock and provides a dead-blow stable surface. The generous 47" x 94" footprint (nearly 31 square feet of working area) accommodates large workpieces such as machinery frames, structural assemblies, jigs, and fixtures. Whether you are setting up a robotic welding cell, a precision assembly station, or a heavy fabrication shop, this cast iron table delivers the rigidity and accuracy that steel simply cannot match.

product key Features

Superior Vibration Damping
Cast iron naturally absorbs vibration and impact energy far better than steel. When you strike an arc or hammer a part into position, a steel table rings and transmits shock through the workpiece. Cast iron deadens that energy, keeping your workpiece stable and your welds cleaner. For precision work and sensitive setups, this vibration damping is invaluable.
Precision Ground Surface
Each cast iron table is precision ground on the top surface to achieve flatness of ≤0.10mm per square meter and, if ordered with a hole grid, hole position accuracy of ±0.05mm. The surface can be supplied plain (without holes) for general layout and assembly, or with a modular D16 or D28 hole grid for fixturing with standard clamps and pins.

FAQ
tIPS FOR REFERENCE
Answering the following questions can roughly help you understand our products.
Q:1.Why choose cast iron over steel for a welding table?
A:Cast iron provides superior vibration damping, better thermal stability to resist warping from heat, and excellent long-term wear resistance. Steel tables are lighter and more portable; cast iron tables are for permanent precision installations.
Q:2.Can I weld directly on a cast iron table?
A: You should weld on the workpiece itself, not directly on the table surface. Striking an arc on cast iron can cause surface cracking. Always use a ground clamp on the workpiece or table edge.
Q:3.Will the table rust?
A: Cast iron will rust if exposed to moisture. The table is shipped with an oil coating for protection. For long-term use in humid shops, we recommend applying a light machine oil periodically or using the nitriding alternative.
Q:4.Is the 47" x 94" size available in metric dimensions?
A: Yes, the equivalent metric size is approximately 1200mm x 2400mm. We can supply the table with metric hole grids (50mm or 100mm spacing) regardless of the overall imperial dimensions.
Q:5.What is the lead time for a cast iron table?
A: Cast iron tables are made in batches. Standard lead time is 4 to 8 weeks depending on current production schedule. Contact us for current availability.
Q:6.Do you offer a warranty on cast iron tables?
A:Yes, we offer a standard 24 month warranty against casting defects and machining errors. Cast iron tables, when properly maintained, often last 20 to 30 years or more in daily shop use.
