Rolling Seam Welding Machine
Rolling Seam Welding Machine is an automated equipment dedicated to efficient and continuous welding of long straight or circular joints. It is widely used in precision welding of metal structures such as pipes, cylinders, storage tanks, and automotive parts. It combines pressure and heat sources through roller electrodes or rotary welding joints to achieve uniform, uninterrupted high-quality welds.
Core design features
Automated welding system
Roller electrode design: Double roller electrodes (up and down or horizontal configuration) hold the workpiece and transfer current to achieve continuous rolling welding, suitable for linear or arc joints.
Laser welding variant: High-power laser head with rotating tooling, used for ultra-high-speed precision welding of stainless steel, aluminum alloy and other materials (speed up to 10-30m/min).
Adaptive control
Real-time monitoring of welding pressure, current, and speed, and automatic adjustment of parameters to respond to material thickness fluctuations or surface irregularities.
Optional vision system or weld tracking sensor is available to ensure weld alignment accuracy (within ± 0.2mm).
technical advantages
Efficient continuous production
seamless continuous welding, avoiding the interval pause of traditional spot welding, increasing efficiency by 3-5 times, suitable for large-scale manufacturing (such as automotive fuel tanks, battery shells).
Support high-speed welding (resistance welding: 1-5m/min; laser welding: 10-30m/min).
Excellent weld quality
the weld is flat and smooth, without pores, cracks, airtightness and water tightness meet ISO 15614, ASME Section IX and other standards. The heat affected zone is small, reducing workpiece deformation, especially suitable for precision welding of thin plates.
Wide material compatibility
Weldable materials include low carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, galvanized sheet, etc., to meet the needs of different industries.

Products specification

According to the different rotation of the rollers, rolling seam welding machine and its method can be divided into continuous rolling welding, intermittent rolling welding and step rolling welding:
1. In continuous rolling welding, the workpiece moves continuously between the two rollers (i.e. the rollers rotate continuously), and the welding current also passes through the workpiece continuously.
2. In intermittent rolling welding, the rollers rotate continuously, the workpiece moves continuously, and the current passes through the workpiece intermittently. The weld formed is composed of molten cores overlapping each other. Since the current passes intermittently, the rollers and the workpieces can be cooled during the rest time, which can increase the life of the rollers, reduce the width of the heat-affected zone and the deformation of the workpiece.
3. In step rolling welding, the rollers rotate intermittently, and the current passes through the workpiece when the workpiece is stationary. Since the melting and crystallization of the metal are carried out when the rollers are stationary, there is pressure during the entire crystallization process, which improves the heat dissipation and compaction conditions, thereby more effectively improving the welding quality. This method is mostly used for welding aluminum and magnesium alloys, and can be used for seam welding of high-temperature alloys, which can also effectively improve the welding quality.
