Q1: What are the differences between a steel welding platform and a cast iron platform? How should I choose?

A:The main differences lie in the material properties. Cast iron has good shock absorption and strong precision retention, making it suitable for precision welding and small to medium-sized workpieces. Steel has high tensile strength, good toughness, and impact resistance, making it suitable for heavy workpieces, high loads, and scenarios involving frequent lifting and impact. If you are welding large engineering machinery structural parts, ship sections, or need to bear several tons of heavy objects, steel is a more suitable choice.

Q2: Can the D28 system and D16 system be used universally?

A:They cannot be used directly universally. The aperture (28mm) and grid (100mm) of the D28 system are different from those of the D16 system (16mm/50mm), and their fixtures are incompatible with each other. The D28 is designed for heavy-duty welding, while the D16 is for precision and small-to-medium-sized welding. If your factory has both types of needs, it is recommended to configure the corresponding systems separately.

Q3: Can the platforms be used in a spliced manner?

A:Yes. The D28 series platforms have pre-reserved splicing positioning holes on all four sides. With the dedicated splicing kits, multiple platforms can be seamlessly spliced into a larger working area, which can be expanded to tens of square meters at maximum, meeting the welding needs of extra-large workpieces.
