3D Welding Workbench For Aircraft Structures

Aircraft structure welding is vastly different from traditional welding, and its particularity determines the need for such a high-end workbench:

Extremely high precision requirements: The fit tolerance between aircraft components is extremely small (usually measured in hundredths of a millimeter). Any tiny welding deformation or misalignment may cause components to be unassemblable, or affect the structural integrity and aerodynamic performance of the aircraft.

Complex geometric shapes: Most aircraft structural parts are complex three-dimensional curved surfaces and frame structures, and ordinary two-dimensional fixtures cannot effectively fix them at all.

Material particularity: Aircraft structures mostly use high-strength aluminum alloys, titanium alloys, etc. These materials are very sensitive to heat input and restraint during welding. Unreasonable clamping may lead to cracks or excessive stress.

Repeatability and consistency: Aircraft manufacturing is mass production, requiring hundreds or thousands of identical components to be completely consistent. Traditional welding relies on workers' experience, making it difficult to ensure such consistency.

Efficiency improvement: Precise positioning can reduce the adjustment time before welding, facilitate automated welding, and greatly improve production efficiency.
