Nitriding treatment is process of penetrating nitrogen into the metal surface at a certain temperature, which can significantly improve the hardness and wear resistance of metal materials, thus extending service life of platform.
Specifically, nitriding treatment includes gas nitriding and ion nitriding methods, through which a dense nitriding layer can be formed on surface of workpiece to improve its hardness and wear resistance .
