Why is Cast Iron 3D welding table is more and more popular than Steel plate table?
Cast Iron and Q355 Steel are two different materials for Modular Welding Tables. Steel tables become harder after nitriding, but there is a problem that needs attention. During the welding process, a lot of spatter will be produced, which will splash onto the welding table and leave welding slag.
Gray cast iron tables contain graphite, which will move to the surface and spread over time. This natural process makes the surface less and less sticky, so it simply separates splatters from the surface more easily than a Steel table, requiring no cleaning for long-term use.
