1. Planning and Design: Based on the 3D digital model or drawings of the workpiece, plan the layout of the fixture in special software (or even CAD software) and select appropriate components.
2. Construction: On the actual base modular welding platform, install positioning components, supporting components, and clamping components into the grid holes according to the plan, just like building blocks.
3. Clamping and Calibration: Place the workpiece, use positioning components to determine its datum, and then fix it with clamping components. It is usually necessary to use measuring tools (such as dial indicators) for position calibration.
4. Welding Operation: Workers or robots weld the accurately positioned workpiece.
5. Disassembly and Reassembly: After welding is completed, loosen the fixture and take out the workpiece. Most components can be disassembled for use in building fixtures for the next different workpiece.
