Build Any Fixture – For Manual, Robotic & Heavy-Duty Welding

Product Description
clamping system work function tables

What are Modular Welding Tables?

Modular welding tables are precision-engineered workbenches featuring a grid of accurately bored holes (either D28 or D16) and a matching ecosystem of reusable clamping and positioning components. Unlike traditional dedicated jigs, a modular system allows you to build, dismantle, and rebuild fixtures in minutes – without welding, cutting, or drilling.

This product line offers two industry-standard hole systems:

D28 (Φ28mm holes on 100x100mm grid) – European standard for heavy-duty applications.

D16 (Φ16mm holes on 50x50mm or variable grid) – Compact standard for lighter work and higher density.

And two material choices:

Steel – High tensile strength, weldable, economical for general fabrication.

Cast Iron (GG/HT300) – Exceptional vibration damping, thermal stability, and wear resistance.

Of Modular Welding Tables

Core Advantages
Improve Efficiency:
Quick clamping and adjustment, reducing the time for marking and positioning in traditional welding.

Repeatability Accuracy:
The positioning error of the hole array is usually less than ±0.05mm, making it suitable for mass production.

Reduce Costs:
Reducing the need for customized fixtures, and modular components can be reused.

Flexible Expansion:
Supports vertical stacking or horizontal splicing to adapt to workpieces of different sizes.

Optional Accessories
Fixture category: Right-angle clamp, Quick clamp, Pressure plate.
Positioning category: Dowel pin, Bushing, Magnetic base.
Auxiliary category: Cooling plate (prevents overheating of the tabletop), Universal wheel (for moving the workbench).

Products Application

Modular welding tables with D28/D16 systems are used across virtually every welding-intensive industry:

★ General fabrication & job shops – One table replaces dozens of dedicated jigs.

★ Automotive parts manufacturing – Exhausts, brackets, chassis components, roll cages.

★ Heavy equipment & agriculture – Frames, buckets, attachments, implements.

★ Aerospace & defense – Precision assemblies with strict repeatability.

★ Pipe & tube welding – V-blocks and adjustable supports for round parts.

★ Robotic welding cells – Repeatable fixturing for batch production.

★ Maintenance & repair – Quick one-off fixtures for odd-shaped parts.

★ Training & education – Teaches modular fixturing principles.

FAQ

tIPS FOR REFERENCE

Answering the following questions can roughly help you understand our products.

Q:1.What is the difference between D28 and D16? Which one should I choose?

A:

D28 (Φ28mm holes, 100mm grid) – For heavy fabrication, large parts, and high clamping forces. Accessories are larger and more robust. Best for frames, heavy equipment, automotive structures.

D16 (Φ16mm holes, 50mm grid) – For smaller parts, sheet metal, precision work, and higher positioning density. Accessories are more compact. Best for light fabrication, electronics enclosures, small brackets.

Q:2.Should I buy steel or cast iron?

A:

Steel is tougher, more weldable, and more economical. It's ideal for general job shops where the table might see direct weld spatter, hammering, and heavy loads.

Cast iron offers superior vibration damping (cleaner welds), better thermal stability (less distortion), and longer wear life. It's the choice for high-precision robotic cells and high-cycle production environments.

Q:3.Can I mix D28 and D16 accessories on the same table?

A: No, the hole diameters and grid spacing are different. However, you can use adapter plates or have custom tables with both systems on different sections (inquire for custom manufacturing). Most shops standardize on one system per table.

Q:4.How flat are these tables? Do I need to resurface them later?

A: Standard flatness is ≤ ±0.1 mm/m. Premium grades reach ≤ ±0.05 mm/m. With proper use (no direct flame cutting, no sledgehammer impacts), a quality table will maintain flatness for decades. Cast iron tables can be re-ground if necessary; steel tables can be surface-planned.

Q:5.Can I weld directly on a cast iron modular table?

A: Not recommended. Cast iron has poor weldability (risk of cracking) and welding directly on the surface will damage the precision holes and flatness. Always use clamping fixtures. Steel tables can be welded on, but expect surface marks.

Q:6.Are accessories included? Where can I buy them?

A:Accessories are typically sold separately because each shop needs different components. We offer starter kits (50–100 pieces) including pins, clamps, angle brackets, and stops. Tell us your typical workpiece shape, and we will recommend a kit.
